BNZ Place in Wellington is a striking addition to the waterfront precinct, and is recognised with a 2024 NZIA Local Award for Commercial Architecture. Designed by local architecture firm Studio Pacific, the interior draws on the narrative of landform, seascape, and navigation.
The building’s 12 working floors are linked by an interconnecting staircase, which serves as a central design feature embodying this narrative. The staircase is illuminated using the Richie Rail 20 illuminated handrail, which integrates seamlessly into the design. Its sleek, low-profile form provides functional lighting while enhancing the architectural intent, emphasising the flow and connectivity between floors.
