Following a two-year, multi-million dollar redevelopment, the H2O Xtream Aquatic Centre in Upper Hutt reopened in April 2025 with a significantly expanded and modernised facility. Moth Light was engaged to supply lighting for the newly upgraded reception area and exterior canopy.
Two custom linear luminaires by Offspring Profiles were selected to enhance the architectural design. Downhill Dan 22 was recessed into the ceiling above the reception counter, delivering seamless, functional lighting onto the counter surface below. Flat Freddie 35 was mounted onto the timber soffit slats that extend from the building’s exterior canopy through into the interior, where Downhill Dan 22 continues through the main foyer space—creating a continuous visual line to support wayfinding and guide visitors into the space.
